This is a copy of the Lazada chat I was recommended to have with their chat line named Cleo, who says that because I paid COD and I don’t have a credit or debit card, I cannot get the refund paid into my bank account. I cannot have a credit note to spend with Lazada, I cannot have a voucher for the refund, they cannot pay the refund into my wife’s wallet account, etc.
Their customer care helpline shows details of my claim. I checked it every day; it showed that my claim was in the hands of an agent and being processed. Then, after a week, it read CLOSED. I have never had any correspondence from Lazada over my refund.
I have tried to email and phone Lazada without success. I must stress it's not about the money; it's only 609 Baht, but it's about the principle of the matter. Thank you for letting me vent my view that Lazada is stealing money because it's not Lazada's money; they are only the third party who work on commission. I would like to say the seller was very professional and completed my refund quickly, as it has been approved for return of TV 98 ATV Pro Android 14 TV box.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with full refund. All it had cost me was persistance and contacting customer care over and over again as I have described.
I have been fully refunded now, It just had cost me persistance!
I packaged that item already, waiting for it to get picked up b FLASH Express.But some reading on Lazada revealed, that there are lots of sellers scamming there with this item. Most interesting I found a review below a similar item stating: "Fake drive.
Stated it was 10TB and contained a 50gb micro SD card. Even that did not work on a Mac.
I wasn’t expecting much however way below expectations and didn’t even work." The reviewer posted pictures of it open to prove his find.It's disgusting that after all those negative reviews exposing these items as scam Lazada did not care to keep its customers from getting harmed by scammers on their site, not only harms like loosing money, but especially with effects of loosing data. They're totally irresponsible!
Had another chat with a customer care agent. Looks like it advanced now.
I received an email: "Thank you for reaching out regarding the return/refund of products from your order number 951735****08330. Lazada would like to inform you that we have opened a product return/refund request for you. Kindly follow the steps below to proceed with returning your product:1. Open the Lazada app, go to "Account" and select "View all orders."2.
Select the order containing the product you wish to return and press "Return/Refund Product."3.
Complete the online return/refund form.4. Wait for a response from the seller within 2 business days (excluding weekends)." Did so, and I am waiting now...
Looks like my reporting about them having taken off the fraudulent item was a little early. It's back for more people getting scammed!
After my repeated contact to trust@***.com, documenting the inefficiency of their Thai customer service, the fraudulent item today has been marked as "Out of stock" and all reviews, including mine and another victim's, have been deleted. At least they have done something to prevent more fraud.
But they still have to reimburse me.
And they should contact all the buyers, warning them of possible data loss, if they keep using the fraudulent items. Will they show real care for their customers?
Of course I meant "reimburse the buyer" not the seller! When you have ro deal with Lazada Customer Care it is hard, not to get mixed up.
My thoughts:In no case should a fraudulent item be returned to the seller, enabling him to cheat with it again. The internet market place bears the responsibility to for ONE to reimburse the seller, and for TWO to destroy it.
Ebay for example in those cases only reimburses the victim, not causing him more trouble by asking to return. But Lazada fully sides with the fraudulent seller, not caring at all about the victims!
As expected Lazada hides behind their "rules" without any regard to the legal principle of Good Faith, is not protecting customers from SCAMS being played over their system. I got an email now:"Because the product has exceeded the warranty. Therefore, the product return form cannot be opened.Lazada would like to apologize for the inconvenience you have received.If you have any questions about the product, we recommend that you reach out to the seller directly through the chat function within the Lazada app for more details."
Had another chat with the customer care representative, where I finally, it seems, could make her understand the problem by explaining that this is the same kind of scam used to be played with fake capacity USB sticks. And that I just had not expected it to be played on SSDs as well, where it was harder to detect for 256 TB being a lot of capacity, that required about 5 months to fully test with H2testw, was near impossibleBut she then agreed to forward this to the competent people in Lazada.
I was sent an email with a case number: "Thank you for taking the time to contact us. May we let you know that we acknowledged your recent contact with Lazada Customer Service.
We will update you as soon as possible.We would like to inform you that we have coordinated the issue you have reported to relevance team. Please kindly wait for the further update."
I just had a chat with a customer care representative. It went the way things always go there.
The "loophole" they thought they had found is the package, that I already threw in the garbage, as I thought like it is with hidden faults usually, that things were ok. But once I wrote more than 57.9 GB data to that SSD I found out that hidden fault. Customer Service representative said, without the package it cannot be seen as fraud. That the index of the SSD is showing the manipulated capacity, which does not match the actually measured capacity they don't accept.
It's useless to argue with customer care representatives at LAZADA!
Just be careful what you order from there! They don't protect customers from fraud, rather hassle customers when they complain and try to help avoiding other customers falling prey to scams.
Problem is a seller who sells SSD storage discs, that have been manipulated to show a larger storage than they really have, what causes the user to loose the data written to it beyond that actual storage.
Since this is a hidden fault that is unlikely to be noticed at first sight, the limitation of 7 days cannot apply. I could only notice, when I had already lost data, had damages from that fraudulent item, that made me investigate the problem. but contacting their customer service and getting the problem over is mere hassle.
Therefore, I ask to be reimbursed for Order 951735****08330
Lazada should write to me whether they need the fraudulent item returned for destruction to avoid more cheating with that and at their expense, not causing me more hassle than already the loss of data.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with full refund. Got an e-mail: "From the contact that did not receive the product order 100118****708330, the product in question is currently in the process of refunding the product price to you.If the refund is successful, the amount will be refunded to the channel you paid.
Lazada apologizes for the inconvenience.The problem obviously was at J&T express, where it was marked as delivered.
Whether it was delivered to the wrong address or lost on the way etc. remains unknown.
The seller through LAZADA chat now sent me a screenshot of the carrier's page about the alleged delivery containing the phone number of the person who allegedly delivered and told me (in thai):"Please contact the shipper to inquire about the relevant details. If the package is shipped from China, we will not be able to handle it."I answered:"It is your duty to present proof like a signed receipt, not mine to contact the shipper!
You have to ask your shipper for that!"I wonder how it goes on.
Asking the carrier for that shouldn't be a problem. But if a signature was forged, the seller might not comply.
After more contacting them, it turned out, that the refund form to be used now, is only the one over the app. And when I tried to use that, I got the answer, my request were too late.
I had used the form over their webpage, as they described on the web, on time. How could I know that I had to use the app? They haven't updated their directions. How can customers using the webpage instead of the app know about this?
There is no clue! I will give up trying to tell them to work correctly and showing them their inefficiencies, because it costs me too much nerves.
I have lost 240 Baht, and they have definitely lost a longtime customers. There are alternatives to Lazada!
Now I get the answer, when inquiring about the refund status>"Current status : Return cancelledCLEO truly apologizes, your return request was cancelled because you have cancelled the return request or the item was not returned within provided time.If the item has warranty with the seller, CLEO recommend you to contact the seller for after sales service."The seller does not respond and LAZADA customer service seems to have tricked mt out of the refund.So I wrote them another e-mail:"So, where is my refund, or what needs to be done to get it? I cannot see any option to request.
Can I conclude, that I have been cheated with the assistance of LAZADA customer support? This would mean a drastic reduction in my orders from LAZADA plus an increase in truthful negative reporting about LAZADA customer service.I wonder, if they mind!
Today I got another e-mail from them: "May we inform you that our team will open refund for you. You may request for refund for your order within tomorrow." -I am extremely curious!
Since I would have lost the money anyway, I canceled the request on their return form on the app, checking "Item was not received" as reason for not being able to return it. Now I wait for customer service to fulfill their promise.
Eight hours after my last contact they wrote me another e-mail: "Thank you for contacting us of case number 250000****947376May we inform you that filling the refund form is required for us to provide further assistance regarding your order.Order Number : 100118****708330"I answered:"Then supply me with that refund form, that you state as required contrary to the information on LAZADA's website, where it says to use the return form in cases like this."Looks like they're beginning to feel uncomfortable about not having been able to just sweep my refund claim under the carpet."
Had an order not delivered at all, but the seller, who was supposed to deliver by his own fleet marked it as delivered though I had not received it at all. Now what to do?
LAZADA informs:
"If you did not receive items/ missing item/ or receive empty box, you can submit online form to request a refund
Please proceed to fill out the online return form within the specified return period of Lazada, in order to request an immediate refund if you haven't received the product or have received an empty package.
For Non-LazMall: You can initiate a return/refund request within 3 days or 7 days (if the extension button is clicked).
For products from LazMall: You can initiate a return/refund request within 30 days.
The system will require you to upload a picture, if you did not receive your parcel, you can upload any picture because Lazada will proceed the investigation about the case in accordance with Lazadas internal procedures."
But a not mentioned problem is, that you cannot submit that form, unless you also checked either to have the non-delivered item picked up or drop it off. An option for refund only is missing. OK, if they will proceed the investigation about the case in accordance with LAZXADA's internal procedures anyway that should be no problem like uploading a non-related picture just to fulfill the formal requirement. So I checked pick up just to be able to submit.
When a carrier called to pick up, he was explained the problem.
Fine with him to just ignore.
But when nothing happened further by LAZADA I contacted their customer service.
They acknowledged to have understood the problem, but suggested as solution to cancel the refund request on the return form first and file it again on a refund only form, which I refused, because their was no such form available due to seller having marked delivered.
To me it looks like they're setting up as easy solution that might turn out a trap for me. After canceling the properly requested refund as advised over the return form, another request, if it were possible at all would probably get refused as out of time.

I wasn't offered any compensation. Lazada Customer Service was helpful and friendly but it took a long time to fix.
As a result, I no longer needed items that I wanted to purchase.
Perhaps there was a language translation problem. It took a long time before Lazada tech support understood my issue.
Issue of verification is unresolved. Lazada advised me to call Saturday after 8:00 am.I tried calling Lazada several times after 8:00 am on Saturday and repeated got disconnected.
As requested, I sent Lazada proof of ownership of my telephone number and a copy of my passport. Customer Service was helpful but told me the issue had to be resolved by another department. Still waiting for Lazada to resolve the verification issue.

Update: After I went myself thought 2 local offices and a warehouse of unbelievably low tech courier service they use on Koh Samui (Flash Express), I managed to explain the girl in charge what the house I live in looks like. They had delivered a dozen of parcels to my place before, but this one was somehow delivered to another address in the same resort.That very evening they brought me my order. So, it has been resolved by me [manually], spent a total of 3 hrs all in all.

Driver is ringing my phone for 1 or 2 seconds. My call backs he didn't answer.
Online it shows that the delivery failed because of recepients reshedule.
The customer service, if somebody answers, is arrogant and unfriendly. Phone numbers and branches shown on google maps are outdated or just not existing.

I tried to place an order that kept giving me a qr code that my bank wouldn't recognize but lasada was counting these as sales so I reached limit for item I then had to use partners phone and had to order items at full price contacted lasada customer services still eating for reply order was then successfully placed memo to say item shipping then in packaging then change delivery dates 4 days after order placed contact lasada again and am transferred to a page where they want me to pay money to resolve issue and give them my uk bank details when I paid every thing through my bank of Bangkok bank they want me to pay in us dollars through my uk bank my ordeal with lasada on this occasion is absolutely terrible this time though have placed other orders with no problems but this time it's diabolical and they want me too pay more money to sort out their terrible treatment of me when asked for compensation for late delivery I was told there would be none never mind having to pay nearly 2000 baht more than sale price driver just going to suit himself when he's going to deliver items very bad company

Verified ReviewerTheft of my money. I will scammed by one of their sellers and they won't send me my refund.
I purchased a watch from Lazada and paid for it. Their provider sent a toy instead of a watch, probably valued at about three baht. I enacted a refund and returned the little toy. The seller immediately disappeared from the Lazada website and does not answer the contact on Lazada's purchaser page.
So, this guy pretends he is selling a watch, and I paid for it through the Lazada website. The seller disappears from the website with my money, and I have been waiting for 2 weeks for my refund from a scam and theft associated with Lazada. Two weeks is far too long to still be waiting for a refund that should have been done normally within two or three days. This is not rocket science; they should just do what they are supposed to do for their customers.
Less than a week ago, I ordered two watches valued at 20,000 baht from Shopee and received them without any issues two days after I placed my order. I will never shop at Lazada again.
I say buyer beware of Lazada. If everything goes their way and there are no problems, it's okay I guess, but when the customer that makes their business has a problem, they turn their back. Terrible, terrible, terrible customer service, or should I say customer no service.

They do have Lazada flagship stores they have other preferred sellers which I have never had any problem with. I have actually been given an award by them for my purchase activities and listed in the tops of their buyers for a 1-year period. I don't even have the little 3 Baht toy I was sent as the watch because I returned it to Lazada for my 1500 watt refund on the watch. The enclosed photo is my little toy I was sent for 1500 baht from the scammer today.
